The AN/PRC-152 Multiband Handheld Radio, also known as Harris Falcon III, is a portable, compact, tactical software-defined combat-net radio manufactured by Harris Corporation.[1] It is compliant without waivers to the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Software Communications Architecture (SCA).[2][3] It has received NSA certification for the transmission of Top Secret data.

The AN/PRC-152 radio is currently in use with the US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams in their MRAP JERRV vehicles.[4] As of 2005, 1,300 radios have also been fielded in vehicles by the US Army.[5] and more than 8,600 have been fielded by the U.S. Marines.[6] An undetermined number are in use by the US Air Force in Iraq and Afghanistan.[7] More recently the radio was photographed with Prince Harry, then a 23-year-old second lieutenant in the Household Cavalry of the British Army. He was responsible for providing cover for troops on the frontline as a Forward Air Controller (FAC) employing the AN/PRC-152 Multiband Handheld and other systems.[8]


A fixed number of components and/or items, not all having the same basic name, utilizing radio frequency electromagnetic waves in space to carry two-way intelligence. Excludes radar set; facsimile set; receiving set, radio; receiver-transmitter, radio; and receiving set, television.


Left and right clicking the function switch will cycle between the 1st 6 preset channels on the radio.Additionally this can be used to turn off the radio by placing the switch in the left most position, turning it back to any of the channel positions will turn the radio back on.


Menus and items are navigated with either the UP-DOWN or LEFT-RIGHT arrows; depending on the menu type. CLR will take you back at any time, and ENT is generally used for saving values. If you use CLR to back out of a menu, those settings are not saved. As you navigate through a series of menus, those values are not saved to the radio until the cycle is complete.
